The Human Resources Compliance & Employee Relations Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources Compliance and Employee Relations functions. Serving as the subject matter expert responsible for matters related to developing key metrics and reporting for the organization and leaders, sharing insights to assist in the improvement of HR programs, and provide guidance and support to resolve problems in a timely manner.Deliver key processes, tools, and recommendations to support both HR Compliance and Employee Relations.

Essential Functions:

Support development and lead implementation and administration of all Employee Relations and Compliance Programs.Monitor programs results against objectives making recommendations to ensure programs align with strategy and improvement of overall management/employee relations.Studying new legislation, anticipating legislation, and understanding impacts to current programs and policies.

Manages and analyzes data from the company’s ethics/workplace concerns hotlines and other sources to identify trends and root causes.Makes sound recommendations on data to resolve root causes while ensuring compliance with applicable legislation.

Ensures all HRBPs and leaders are trained on current legislation, program goals, advanced ER techniques and provide advice, guidance, and recommendations for problem resolution to HRBP’s and leaders as needed.

Investigates and resolves assigned complex employee relations issues, interfaces with Legal counsel as needed to develop recommended actions and lead execution of recommendations as needed.

Communicates, via approved channels, changes in the organization’s compliance and employee relations policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.

Annually review and makes recommendations to the leader for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures, and practices related to compliance and employee relations matters and ensuring compliance.Develops insights through use of key metrics and data to inform business of trends, needs and gaps.

Participate in the development of action planning and self-development objectives.

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (required or preferred):

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Licenses / Certifications / Training:SHRM – CP preferred.

Years of Related Experience:5-7 years direct experience leading investigations and compliance related activities.

Required Skills & Abilities:Results-oriented, demonstrated interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills (both verbal and written), consultative skills, partnership skills with strong attention to detail required to produce base level metrics development and associated analytics.

Strong knowledge of federal/state regulations and their impact on HR disciplines, Proficient Project and Process Management capabilities.

Travel Requirements:Minimal Travel Required (1 - 2 x per year)

Other Requirements: Strong Project Management

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate promptly and accurately via computer, telephone, or similar device with or without assistive technology.

Ability to perform sedentary work.

Ability to move throughout the distribution center.

Ability to travel by car, rail or air.
