The Project Manager Store Construction serves as the liaison for all construction projects for our stores, these include new stores, store remodels, and lease completions. The Store Construction Project Manager screens and qualifies prospective contractors and major sub-contractors, manages the relationship with internal and external vendors, validates work performed is as outlined in construction drawings, and ensures the quality of all work meets David’s Bridal expectations. The Store Construction Project Manager will share needed information with the proper partners, follow up to make sure work is completed timely, and close out any open issues with urgency. The Store Construction Project Manager will communicate with all levels of our store field organization including Division VPs, Regional Directors, and store teams sharing project timing, scopes of projects, and keep them informed of progress. The Store Construction Project Manager will manage multiple projects simultaneously and will execute with speed, resolve complex problems, and help maximize the productivity of all teams

Essential Functions:

  • Create project plans/trackers, update throughout entire project life cycle, communicate status to key stakeholders and continuously identify opportunities to improve the process, condense times, and reduce costs.
  • Review Store Construction Drawings and Take Off’s for accuracy
  • Serve as primary point of contact for all internal and external partners on all Store Construction projects.
  • Develop and update relocation, new, and closing store manuals then lead meetings with stores and members of the store leadership team where these documents are communicated.
  • Work directly with general contractors to collect bids, review for accuracy, recommend winning bid, stay informed on status of all projects, and when issues develop help identify solutions.
  • Manage the Furniture, Fixture, and Equipment store order approval process
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture/construction management or equivalent experience preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 4 plus years of construction project management experience including reviewing and interpreting construction drawings required.
  • 1-2 years of retail experience preferred; Revit/AutoCAD experience a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to review and interpret construction drawings.
  • Ability to multitask and keep multiple projects/activities on track simultaneously.
  • Ability to interpret information from multiple sources to make decisions.
  • Demonstrates superior planning and organizational skills.
  • Develop and maintain productive partnerships inside and outside David’s Bridal.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel Required (1 – 2 times per month or more).
