Our ideal candidate is a retail HR athlete with a combination of leading Field & Corporate HR partners. This is a remote role – working from your home office when not traveling stores or meeting with business partners in our corporate office in PA. You will report directly to our Chief Retail Officer and you, and your team will guide our Field leaders in a Talent Strategy that includes talent management, performance management, team member engagement, and support of our DE&I programs.

The Senior Director, Field HR Business Partners acts as a strategic partner to the business by leading a team of divisional HRBP’s who are responsible for embedding HR strategy into day-to-day work and providing professional HR guidance and support to client groups with the objective of driving team capability and business performance. The primary responsibility of the SD Field HR is to direct the HRBP’s in the contribution to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes. The SD Field HR is the business’ main contact for all HR needs. Need to be able to travel up to 50% of the time. Position does not need to sit in Conshohocken.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Serves as the strategic partner to the Chief Retail Officer and Divisional Vice Presidents to drive talent development, engagement, and lead and change management.
  • Provide leadership for the field Human Resources Business Partners to ensure that all Human Resources programs (e.g., staffing, talent, reward, etc.) are aligned to the company’s strategic goals and business culture.
  • Partners with Centers of Expertise on development and implementation of people programs that supports the strategic business strategy and results of Field Operations.
  • Leads the Directors of Field Human Resources in driving and facilitating the talent and succession planning process, leadership assessments, forecasting head count /talent needs in partnership with the senior leaders, to identify high potential talent and build a strategic plan to support the growth of the business.
  • Builds strong relationships, engaging and influencing senior leadership teams and ensures Directors Field Human Resources establish similar relationships with their Divisions and cross-functional partners.
  • Develop insights through use of key metrics and data to inform business of trends, needs and gaps with a focus on reducing turnover and improving employee engagement.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to balance, bend, kneel, squat, and reach with arms
  • Ability to perform sedentary work

Education & Credentials:

  • BA/BS/Bachelor's Degree, PHR/SPHR Certified
  • Senior-level Human Resources Business Partner with a track record of success and a minimum of 10 years supporting fast paced, matrixed organization with at least 5-7 years in management
  • Prior Human Resources experience supporting an expanding multi-site retail organization, is highly desired,
  • Demonstrated ability to create and lead strategic change initiatives while balancing short-term business needs.
  • Self-directed professional with sound judgment and proven abilities in strategic planning
  • Solid communication experience in presentations to senior leadership and excellent “people” skills.
  • Proven record in driving change and business performance through talent initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of federal/state regulations and their impact on HR disciplines
  • Expertise in talent management, coaching, organizational effectiveness a plus
  • Comfortable with technology and better than average knowledge of HR Systems
