The In-Store Implementation Coordinator is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of in-store partner activations across David’s Bridal’s retail footprint. This role serves as the central project management lead responsible for translating partnership concepts and commercial agreements into successful, scalable in-store experiences.
From shop-in-shops and product installations to take-sale programs, displays, signage, fixtures, events, and other partner activations, this individual will own the implementation process from kickoff through launch and post-launch stabilization.
Success in this role requires exceptional project management, strong cross-functional leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex implementations simultaneously. The ideal candidate is highly organized, solutions-oriented, comfortable operating in a fast-moving retail environment, and able to drive accountability across teams without necessarily having direct authority over them.
Key Responsibilities
In-Store Activation & Implementation
- Own the end-to-end implementation of in-store partner activations across the David’s Bridal store network.
- Translate partnership agreements and activation concepts into detailed implementation plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Coordinate launches including shop-in-shops, displays and fixtures, product placement, take-sale programs, signage, collateral, events, and other physical retail experiences.
- Develop repeatable implementation playbooks that allow successful concepts to scale from pilot locations to broader store rollouts.
- Ensure each activation is operationally ready before launch, including product, fixtures, signage, training, technology, inventory, store communication, and supporting processes.
- Conduct post-launch validation to ensure activations were implemented as designed and identify issues requiring remediation.
Project Management
- Serve as the central owner and source of truth for all assigned in-store implementations.
- Build and maintain comprehensive project plans, launch calendars, workback schedules, RACI frameworks, risk logs, and status reporting.
- Manage multiple concurrent implementations at different stages of development without sacrificing execution quality.
- Establish clear owners, deadlines, dependencies, and escalation paths for every activation.
- Proactively identify risks, blockers, and resource constraints and drive issues to resolution before they impact launch dates.
- Lead recurring implementation meetings and provide concise, actionable status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Create visibility into the overall activation pipeline, including upcoming launches, at-risk projects, decisions needed, and completed implementations.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the connective tissue between Enterprise Partnerships, Account Management, Store Operations, Marketing, Creative, Merchandising, Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Enterprise Account Managers to transition signed partner opportunities from commercial agreement into implementation.
- Coordinate directly with external partners and vendors on implementation requirements, deliverables, shipping, installation, creative assets, fixtures, and timelines.
- Partner with Store Operations to ensure activations are executable at the store level and that field teams have clear instructions, training, and support.
- Drive accountability across cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining strong, collaborative working relationships.
Operational Excellence & Scalability
- Build standardized processes, templates, checklists, and documentation for in-store implementations.
- Identify opportunities to improve launch speed, reduce friction, eliminate recurring implementation issues, and create greater consistency across stores.
- Establish launch-readiness criteria and ensure required deliverables are completed before activation.
- Maintain documentation and historical learnings to improve future launches.
- Support the development of scalable operating models as David’s Bridal expands its portfolio of in-store partnerships and alternative revenue programs.
Performance & Post-Launch Support
- Partner with Account Management and business stakeholders to validate that activations are functioning as intended following launch.
- Establish processes for collecting store feedback, implementation photos, operational issues, reporting and other launch validation.
- Track implementation KPIs including on-time launch rate, implementation cycle time, outstanding blockers, store readiness, and issue resolution.
- Lead implementation retrospectives for major activations and incorporate learnings into future rollout plans.
Qualifications
- 5–6+ years of experience in project management, retail operations, implementation, store development, visual merchandising operations, partner operations, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects from concept through execution.
- Strong project management experience is required.
- Experience supporting multi-location retail environments, physical store activations, installations, or large-scale rollouts strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, stakeholders, and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of dependencies, critical paths, risk management, and launch readiness.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with both executives and frontline teams.
- Ability to influence and drive accountability across teams without direct reporting relationships.
- Comfortable operating in an evolving environment where processes may need to be built while the work is underway.
- Experience with project management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, Confluence, or similar tools preferred.
- Retail, bridal, fashion, marketplace, shop-in-shop, or partnership experience is a plus.
What Success Looks Like
Within this role, success means that every in-store partnership has a clear path from signed agreement → implementation → store readiness → launch → validation.
The In-Store Implementation Coordinator creates the operational discipline necessary to ensure:
- Activations launch on time and as designed.
- Stores understand exactly what is expected of them.
- Partners have clear visibility into implementation.
- Cross-functional owners understand their responsibilities and deadlines.
- Risks and blockers are surfaced early rather than at launch.
- Successful pilots can be quickly and consistently scaled.
- Leadership has clear visibility into the status and health of the in-store activation portfolio.
Ideal Candidate Profile
You are a highly organized individual who thrives on turning ideas into execution. You naturally create structure around ambiguity, anticipate what could go wrong, and follow through until every detail is complete.
You are equally comfortable building a project plan, working through an operational issue with a store team, coordinating deliverables with an external partner, and providing an executive-level status update.
Most importantly, you take ownership. When an activation is handed to you, you become accountable for getting it across the finish line.
Now that we’ve popped the question, please say “I do”.
