The Partner Development Manager is responsible for the solicitation, research, pitch, presentation, development, to generate strategic partnerships with companies that leverage the David’s Bridal customer through a 360-degree marketing approach. This position maintains and manages positive relationships with all members of the David’s Bridal team and is responsible for the quality check of brand reputation for all companies that self or team is in conversations with for both renewing and new partnerships.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Generate leads and have a running list of local businesses, brands, national advertisers and advertising agencies, who can be reached out to for partnership opportunities, through cold calling and networking techniques. Has or can build an outstanding network that flows into the partner funnel.
  • Create customized presentations for clients and agencies seeking marketing partnership opportunities and follow through on closing the deal, while consistently hitting quarterly sales goals.
  • Support team members to help curate integrated marketing programs and partner with the marketing management group to identify convergent advertising and promotional opportunities that leverage the assets of the David’s Bridal stores, internet sites, and the customer demographic.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and manage through a long lead sale process. This can include being the continuity and point of contact for contract, creative execution and clarification. In some cases, it will require the coordinator to be the relationship manager around results management, KPI measurement and client understanding.
  • Develop valuable relationships within the interactive ad community as a means of growing business. Develop existing clients into stronger relationships through identification of new opportunities and understanding of partners’ ongoing business needs.
  • Ideate new marketing opportunities to monetize the DB reach and presence in market. Leverage existing partner pool to expand value and opportunity for both DB and partner base.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships both virtually and in-person. May require site/business visits to assess suitability for partnership. Can identify potential business partners and negotiates agreements within the sales framework.  Achieve corporate initiatives and pipeline status goals that support the business’ goals and EBITDA target.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience.
  • Agency experience (media, advertising, or brand partnerships) is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven capacity to drive, grow and enhance revenue and history of outstanding sales performance.
  • Experience in the following categories: travel and leisure, entertainment, beauty and consumer package goods preferred. 
  • Familiar with CRM platforms for lead sourcing.
  • Outstanding business development, client management, marketing and sales, communication, and presentation skills. 
  • Deep understanding of multi-channel and partnership marketing. 
  • Experience selling or working within advertising, media, or brand partnership agencies a plus.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with internet savvy prospects as well as, traditional, corporate and small business clients. 
  • Microsoft PowerPoint skills and Excel.

  • Minimal Travel Required
