Job Summary 

The Field Learning & Recognition Specialist supports the design, development, delivery, and reinforcement of training materials that help field teams understand and execute selling behaviors, operational processes, and guest experience expectations. This role focuses on creating clear, field-ready learning content, assisting with training facilitation, maintaining training resources, and coordinating recognition programs that support engagement, retention, and performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain learning materials such as job aids, guides, presentations, e-learning modules, and training documentation. 
  • Apply basic instructional design principles and adult learning concepts to ensure learning content is clear, engaging, field-ready, and easy to use. 
  • Document operational processes, procedures, and workflows in a clear, structured, and field-ready format. 
  • Capture selling behaviors, service expectations, and guest experience standards in a way that is practical, consistent, and easy for field teams to apply. 
  • Translate selling, service, and process updates into learner-facing content with support from leaders. 
  • Review learning content for accuracy, consistency, approved terminology, and alignment to current field learning standards. 
  • Responsible for maintaining the field specific components of the Dayforce LMS system, including uploading and updating of all materials. 
  • Support reinforcement of training content after launch by partnering with field leaders and People Partners to identify where additional learning support, clarification, or coaching resources may be needed. 
  • Monitor and track new stylist productivity and performance during the first 90 days of employment, in partnership with Store Managers, Regional Directors, and People Partners, to identify coaching needs and support ramp-up, engagement, and retention. 
  • Promote existing recognition strategy, platforms and programs within the field, Own and execute recognition strategy for field teams and stylists, including service anniversaries, top-performer awards, and additional culture-building initiatives that drive engagement and retention.  
  • Schedule and coordinate onboarding training for newly hired Regional Directors (RDs) and Store Managers (SMs), including logistics, facilitators, materials, travel arrangements, and 30/60/90-day follow-up to gather feedback on training effectiveness and identify additional support needs at each milestone. 
  • Partner with Divisional Vice Presidents to create and support a Regional Director Academy. 
  • Analyze training effectiveness against key business metrics, such as completion rates, adoption of desired behaviors, post-training feedback, productivity, retention, and guest satisfaction, and recommend improvements. 

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 
  • 2+ years of experience in training, learning support, instructional content development, or a related role. 
  • Ability to translate business priorities and field expectations into simple, actionable training content. 
  • Strong attention to detail, especially related to content accuracy, version control, reporting, and process documentation.   
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to explain processes clearly and concisely. 
  • Basic proficiency in learning or content development tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Canva, or similar). 
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and apply feedback constructively. 
  • Experience in a multi-unit retail, salon, or other service-based brick-and-mortar business preferred. 
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple training schedules and stakeholders simultaneously. 
  • Comfort reviewing and analyzing productivity and performance data to identify trends and coaching opportunities. 
  • Comfortable facilitating both in-person and virtual training sessions to audiences at varying levels of the organization. 
  • Ability to travel to store locations as needed to support training.
