Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Administrator to manage the daily operations of our company's insurance programs. This role involves handling inbound insurance requests, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, have a strong understanding of insurance procedures, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day inbound insurance requests from stakeholders
- Gather and compile data from various company functional areas to assist insurance brokers with annual renewals.
- Process insurance invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- File and manage insurance claims, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
- Collaborate with insurance brokers and adjustors to address and resolve various insurance-related issues.
- Research and respond to insurance-related inquiries from internal departments.
- Assist the accounting department with managing insurance reserves and related financial matters.
- Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, claims, and related documents, and manage Certificates of Insurance (COI) requests.
- Ensure all insurance certificates are compliant with applicable statutes and regulations.
- Monitor and follow up on policy renewals to ensure continuous coverage.
- Assist financial reporting team completing regulatory and census requests, among other surveys
- Assist with workers compensation related issues as needed.
- Coordinate property inspections or audits as required.
- Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance administration or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, self-starter, and comfortable working independently .
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with insurance management software.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work.
Additional Information:
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- The Insurance Administrator will not be a decision-maker for material issues but will provide essential support to decision-makers.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools is advantageous.
