The Copywriter will be responsible for creative copy development for marketing materials including advertising, look books and other print collateral, web pages, emails, and promotional pieces. The Copywriter will work with the print and digital teams to animate creative concepts with effective copy.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Create innovative advertising and marketing copy for promotions, products, and services.
  • Make use of AI to create and/or optimize copy
  • Develop creative copy and concepts for new and existing marketing programs including print and digital advertising, look books, emails, and website content.
  • Consistently deliver clear, concise, and credible copy that is on-target with the creative strategy.
  • Translate product positioning objectives into compelling messaging and copy optimized for delivery through various media.
  • Research, organize, and write original content. Ensure quality of content, including editing and proofreading.
  • Regularly review competitive sites and share ideas with the team.

 

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (required or preferred):

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.

Years of Related Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in advertising, catalog/marketing, or editorial writing

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficient on the Mac and the Internet.  Familiar with a variety of retail concepts, practices, and procedures.

Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrate creativity, possess strong writing and interpersonal skills, and able to multitask while working under deadlines. 
  • Ability to balance a diverse portfolio of assignments. 
  • Detail-oriented with good ability to plan and accomplish goals within time and budgetary constraints. 
  • Clear, concise writing style. 
  • Shares opinions, concepts, and information in a passionate and persuasive way.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate promptly and accurately via computer, telephone, or similar device with or without assistive technology
  • Ability to perform sedentary work
