The Social Media Coordinator is a key member of the Social Media team, responsible for supporting our social media marketing programs for David’s Bridal and our affiliate brands, from planning and development to performance reporting. The Social Media Coordinator will work with the Social Media Manager and Marketing Specialists to develop content strategies that are in alignment with business goals to position David’s Bridal as a leader in the bridal space. They will be responsible for implementing the day-to-day content for the David’s Bridal social media channels and blog, working with the larger marketing team to determine key messages and assisting the Social Media Manager with content development and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the larger marketing team to develop a monthly marketing calendar. Partner with Social Media Manager to concept and develop content for DB brand and affiliate social media channels using a deep understanding of social platforms, trends and techniques that will drive engagement and channel health. Ensure all content is scheduled in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for planning social media photo/video shoots and capturing content on-set. Lead video editing process based on platform best practices.
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to develop strategies for all platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter.
  • Support social media and blog reporting. Analyze past content and use learnings to inform future content development.
  • Partner with the merchandising and marketing teams to determine content topics and ensure video content developed by partners is being utilized across all relevant channels.
  • Support social media team in researching trends, ideas, and inspiration for social media, blog, and sweepstakes. Stay abreast on social media trends, news, viral content, and software and hardware developments

Qualifications – Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Required or Preferred)

  • Education: BA/BS/Bachelor’s Degree
  • Licenses / Certifications / Training: None
  • Years of related experience 1-3 years

Required skills & abilities:

  • Campaign planning, execution, and post-campaign analyses.
  • Ability to prioritize, implement projects, adapt to change and adhere to deadlines in a challenging, deadline driven environment.
  • Organized, excellent decision-making skills, and positive team orientation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals on all levels (inside and outside the organization).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with knowledge of AP style preferred
  • Strong understanding of social media channels
  • Proficiency with Photoshop a plus, but not required

 

Travel Requirements: Some Travel Required (6x per year)

Other Requirements:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with knowledge of AP style preferred
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate promptly and accurately via computer, telephone, or similar device with or without assistive technology
  • Ability to perform sedentary work
  • Ability to balance, bend, kneel, squat, and reach
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to _40-50_ pounds
  • Ability to move throughout the distribution center
  • Ability to travel by car, rail or air
